Norwalk Health Department Farmers Market

NORWALK, Connecticut (July 6, 2012) – Back by popular demand, the Norwalk Health Department Farmers Market is set for Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting Wednesday, July 11. The market provides an opportunity for Norwalk City employees, health department clients, and Norwalk community members to purchase fresh, locally grown produce. The market will be held in the Health Department parking lot (137 East Avenue) and will run until November 7.

Offerings include a variety of fruits and vegetables, and space is available for additional vendors offering healthy foods. Market vendors accept cash, checks, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) vouchers, and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP).
