NORWALK, Conn. – The Fairfield County Sports Car Club is holding its Annual Police Chiefs’ Challenge autocross event to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut on Sunday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Army Engine Plant in Stratford.

Competitors volunteering in the challenge include Chief Joe Gaudett of the Bridgeport Police Department, Chief Tom Kiely of the Trumbull Police Department, Chief Tom Kulhawik (or a representative) from the Norwalk Police Department, Chief Gary MacNamara of the Fairfield Police Department and Chief Patrick Ridenhour of the Stratford Police Department.

The police chiefs will navigate their cars through a course designed to test agility and responsiveness in the timed competition. Donations, in amounts determined by how they place in the competition, will be made in their honor to Special Olympics.
