NORWALK, Conn. -- The launch event for Entrée Nous, a restaurant guide for Fairfield County created by Elizabeth Menke and Aline Weiller, will be hosted on Thursday, Feb. 11 by Artisan Restaurant in Fairfield.
Entree Nous, dedicated to the food community at large, will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Norwalk-based hunger relief organization, Community Plates.
Community Plates is a volunteer-driven organization that is committed to ending American food insecurity by directly transferring fresh, usable food that would have otherwise been thrown away from restaurants, markets and other food industry sources, to food insecure families.
Founded in 2015, Entrée Nous, LLC is dedicated to elevating regional restaurateurs as well as local cuisine and food rescue. The book is a passport-style guide to use while dining out for two and also serves as an invitation.
When eating at a featured restaurant, bring your book for stamping and one guest will receive a complimentary entrée. This edition of Entrée Nous, valid through the end of the year, features 12 local, eclectic eateries in Fairfield County including:
- The Spread
- Café Chocopologie
- Kawa Ni
- The Little Pub
- J House Restaurant
- The Goose
- Bernard’s & Sarah’s Wine Bar.
Artisan Restaurant is located at 275 Old Post Road in Southport. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
Admission to the event is free to the public and will feature light refreshments and cocktails. Copies of Entrée Nous will be available to be purchased and signed. Reservations are required and those interested should contact firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, Feb. 8.
