Local families from Darien, Stamford, Norwalk and beyond will receive more than 5,000 healthy meals from the project.

The volunteers will pack ingredients for lentil-rice-vegetable casseroles, which will be distributed by hunger charities such as Person-to-Person food pantries in Darien and Norwalk, the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, the Connecticut Food Bank, the Pantry@NCC and more.

The packing extravaganza is in partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere.
