Norwalk Parents, Get Tips On Handling Homework

DARIEN, Conn. – Are your kids swamped with homework? Darien and Norwalk parents can learn how to cope with homework at a talk this Thursday on “Taming the Homework Monster: Practical Strategies to Reduce the Daily Drama.”

Chris Bogart, executive director of the Southfield Center for Development, will present strategies to teach your child to structure long-term and nightly homework assignments. He will offer tips on helping kids become more organized and manage their time more effectively. The program is free and geared toward parents with children in grades 4 to 8.

The talk will take place at Darien Town Hall, 2 Renshaw Road, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The event is presented as part of the YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s Parent Awareness program, which provides education and support to parents and children to encourage healthy, positive family development.
