Cornerstone Community Church In Norwalk Dishing Up Thanksgiving Luncheon

NORWALK, Conn. -- Cornerstone Community Church in Norwalk will host its 17th Annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 20.

The luncheon will be preceded by a worship service beginning at 10 a.m. Arts and entertainment, including children's activities, will go on throughout the day. The luncheon will be from noon to 2 p.m.

All are welcome to share in this Thanksgiving celebration.

“There are many families and individuals in the city of Norwalk who depend on us for this meal and look forward to the camaraderie that comes with such a special event,” said the Rev. Ronell Howard, who co-pastors Cornerstone Community Church with the Rev. R. Randy Day. “We anticipate 200 to 300 guests, and we appreciate anyone who is available to join us in bringing this Thanksgiving Luncheon to the community.”

The Community Thanksgiving Luncheon is made possible through the generosity of Cornerstone Community Church, caring individuals and other local businesses and organizations.

The church is looking for volunteers for the following dates and times: 

  • Saturday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to noon - Volunteers are needed to set up, decorate and prepare food; and 
  • Sunday, Nov 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Volunteers are needed to serve, greet and direct guests, and break down the event.
