Chili Challenge Planned To Support Darien Nature Center

DARIEN, Conn. -- The second annual Chili Challenge to benefit the Darien Nature Center will be held on Saturday.

The Challenge runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Nature Center, 120 Brookside Road, Darien. Advance tickets are $125, and $150 at the door.

Local restaurants will compete for the title of Best Chili. The 11 restaurants competing in the challenge are Bodega, Burgers, Shakes & Fries, Darien Social, The Goose, Jimmy’s Southside, Meatball & Co., Michael Joseph’s, Rory’s, Rowayton Market, Station Eats and Ten Twenty Post

Judges include Megan Palmer Rivera of Palmer’s Market, chef and author Pam Anderson, restaurant critic Melanie Bernard and David Genovese, a Darien developer.

Darien-based Gunsmoke, a Country and Western band, will provide live music. There will also be a raffle, games and other food samples.
