Mystery at Elm Park: The Mansion’s Pen and Inkwell Gala will feature cocktails, a dinner prepared by Michael Gilmartin of Outdoor Cookers, and a silent auction.
Berry will be on site to meet guests and promote his new novel, The Lincoln Myth as well as supporting the History Matters Foundation. It was created by Berry and his wife, Elizabeth, to further historic preservation. All proceeds will support the museum’s fund raising efforts.
“This is an exciting evening where our generous supporters and people from all across the region can come together to celebrate history, the arts, and a national historic landmark that is one of Connecticut's most vibrant and treasured destinations,” said Joe Passero, gala co-chair, in a press release.
Guests also can preview the mansion’s new exhibit, Hidden Treasures: Artifacts from the LMMM Collection, featuring pieces reflecting the lifestyles of the mansion’s former occupants. It includes a silver inkwell with cherubs designed by Tiffany & Co.

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is located at 295 West Ave. Tours are offered Wednesdays through Sundays, at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Admission costs $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children.
