Art Garfunkel To Perform At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – You might know him best as a part of the legendary music duo Simon and Garfunkel, but on Sept. 7, Art Garfunkel will take the Ridgefield Playhouse stage alone.

As part of Simon & Garfunkel in the 1960s, Art Garfunkel recorded such classics as "Bridge Over Troubled Waters," "Mrs. Robinson," and "Sound of Silence." Simon & Garfunkel won five Grammy awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

During his solo career, Garfunkel has recorded 13 albums, produced a top 10 song, scored two No. 1 songs in the United Kingdom and won a People’s Choice Award.

Garfunkel, accompanied by a full band, will perform Simon & Garfunkel's most famous songs, including "Mrs. Robinson," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "A Hazy Shade of Winter" and "America." He also perform songs from his most recent album, "The Singer."
