Art Gallery Tour Of Coastal Fairfield County Heads To Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County will make its fourth stop on the Progressive Gallery Tour of coastal Fairfield County on Wednesday at LeClerc Contemporary Gallery in Norwalk.

The gallery space provides a showcase for contemporary art and community events. 

The evening will include art and cocktails. Participants will have an opportunity to shop at Fairfield County Antique & Design Center, a multidealer center within the same venue as the gallery.

Currently showing at LeClerc is "Elements of Abstraction," which features sculptures by Don Frost, Won Lee, Masaaki Noda, Jim Perry, John Von Alstine and Brian Walters II. 

The exhibit examines the intimate relationship between artist and material while highlighting the creative voice that finds the abstract form and draws it out. 

The show's curator is Isabella Garrucho of IGI Fine Art and gallery director of Leclerc, founded by antique and design professional Geoffrey Walksy. 

The Cultural Alliance's Gallery Tour began Sept. 30. The tour runs from Greenwich to Bridgeport and includes eight commercial galleries that are members of the Cultural Alliance. 

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is dedicated to creating powerful connections among Fairfield County's diverse audiences, artists, organizations and creative businesses. 

Upcoming galleries include: The Nylen Gallery at Picture This, 772 Post Road East, Westport, Wednesday, Jan. 13; Southport Galleries, 330 Pequot Ave, Southport, Wednesday Feb. 17; Framemakers Gallery, 3004 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport, Wednesday March 16; and Browngrotta Arts, 276 Ridgefield Road, Wilton, Wednesday, May 4. 

The event Wednesday will be from 6-9 p.m.
