LEWISBORO/POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – If you are looking for something to do in the Lewisboro/Pound Ridge area this weekend to cure those post-holiday blues, you’ll have several options – from a live performance of Broadway’s best show tunes at John Jay High to a tea and talk about the British television import “Downton Abbey” at Lewisboro Library.

Friday, Jan. 4

Fun with Music: 11 a.m. The Pound Ridge Library presents “Fun with Music” featuring Laura D’Amico for children ages 5 and younger. Registration is required. For more information, call the library at 914-764-5085. 271 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge

Gossett Brothers Farm Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Gossett Brothers Farm Market features fresh produce, meats and cheese, as well as seafood. The market is at 1202 Route 35, at Gossett Brothers Nursery in South Salem.

Winter Wolves: 11 a.m. Join the Wolf Conservation Center to learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why this season is such a magical time for packs in North America. Guests will visit ambassador wolves Alawa and Zephyr, as well as the center's critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Guests will enjoy hot beverages in a woodstove-heated classroom. Dress for the cold weather. Cost is $15 for adults and $12 for kids under 12. Registration is required. John Jay’s “Encore Cabaret”:  8 p.m. Katonah-Lewisboro ArtsALIVE!, the Booster Club for the arts in the school district, will celebrate the talent of alumni and current John Jay High School students with a special show,“Encore Cabaret,” which will feature Broadway and show tune hits from the past decade of John Jay musicals sung by the school’s young performers who have graced the school’s stage. The show will be at the John Jay High School Theater. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and can be purchased at http://encorecabaret.eventbrite.com.

Tea & Talk: The World of Downton Abbey: 4 p.m. The Lewisboro Library will host a premiere party for the acclaimed TV show. The event had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy, so the library chose Jan. 6 because the series premieres that night in the United States. Come for tea and join in a discussion of the popular series, as well as two similarly themed books. Margaret Powell’s memoir, “Below Stairs” depicts the hard reality of domestic service and inspired the TV series “Upstairs, Downstairs.” The other book, “Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey,” depicts the history of the actual home and occupants. Winter Wonderland Wolf Photo Session: 2-4 p.m. Join the Wolf Conservation Center for this special opportunity to photograph the center's ambassador wolves Atka , Alawa and Zephyr,in their winter glory in the warm glow of the sunset. Guests also will be given access to photograph the center's critically endangered Mexican wolves and red wolves from vantage points not generally available during regular visits.
