Michael R. Marks, president of Norwalk Hospital Physicians & Surgeons and vice president of Business Development for Norwalk Hospital, announced that Internal Medicine Associates of Westport joined the group on Feb. 1, according to a press release.
“The changing healthcare delivery landscape is demanding closer integration across the continuum of care. Having IMAW as part of our closely aligned physician groups is an integral part of that process,” said Marks.
“I am excited about the affiliation with NHP&S as the changes required to provide the most updated services, such as electronic medical records, the conversion to the new ICD-10 coding system and the demands for patient-centric care, all require a close alignment with a healthcare system, and joining NHP&S provides our group and our patients with the necessary resources," said Dr. Jay Horn, president of IMAW. "Our doctors can concentrate on the day-to-day care of patients and let a larger organization deal with the administrative tasks that frequently distract doctors from patient care tasks.”
Internal Medicine Associates of Westport physicians are Dr. Robert Altbaum, Dr. David Baum, Dr. Jill Denowitz, Dr. Robert Dresdner, Dr. Jay Horn, Dr. Nina Karol, and Dr. Robert Teltser.
