Stamford Phone Retailer Dials Up More Business In Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Patrick Gesuele dialed into the community to reach his customers in Fairfield County.

Gesuele, sales director for the New England region of Your Wireless Inc., a premium retailer for Verizon, in just one year has established the business as a dynamic retailer in the technology sphere.

Gesuele started with a store in Fairfield last July. Stores in Norwalk and Ridgefield followed. He recently opened stores in Stamford and Madison, and last week opened a store in Greenwich. Gesuele believes community outreach has played a huge part in the swift growth.

“I know our community involvement is the exact reason why we’ve grown so quickly,’’ said Gesuele, who recently moved to Stamford. “Whether it’s the Kennedy Center or Person To Person in Darien, we’ve made it a priority to be involved in the community. We give people discounts on our equipment, and we have days for special needs children. That not only helps the business and company grow, but it helps people that are suffering. The only way to grow is within your community.”

Gesuele’s business roots grew in New York. A native of East Meadow on Long Island, Gesuele said he applied the same principles to grow businesses in New York before coming to Connecticut. Your Wireless Inc. was established 11 years ago in New York.

“I’ve been in sales for a long time, and been in the wireless field for a while now,’’ Gesuele said. “I’ve been on the upside, and I’ve been on the downside. I know that if you help people and are willing to go the extra mile, the community will embrace you. I want to make sure each community we’re in is going to be a store for the community, and it’s something that they can be proud of. We want to be a place where the community comes to us first and foremost, and we’ll get involved as much as we possibly can.”

Gesuele knows, however, that customer satisfaction is going to be the keystone in building business success. His stores have all of the latest technology gadgets. Even better, his staff is prepared and willing to take the time to show customers how to get the most out of their devices.

“The main reason I think people shop in our stores is because of our customer service,’’ Gesuele said. “With the people I’ve hired, our customer service is second to none. I’ve heard that a thousand times. We take the time to set up the device and show customers how to use it. They’ve been with people for a long time. We’ll even make house calls if we need to. What other carrier will do that? We go way beyond the normal customer service experience.”

With his new home and thriving retail stores, Gesuele said his success dates back to advice he received from his father long ago.

"If you’re a genuine person, people will see it,’’ he said. “If you’re not a man of your word, people will see right through it. I’ve always been a man of my word. If you give your word, you hold by it. You’re only as good as your word. I heard those words coming out of the womb, and I still hear those words every day.”
