But it's not going out without a bang.

Owners Dick and Jean Hoyt have kicked off their retirement by holding a huge sale with all items up to 60 percent off in their Greenwich store.

That includes skis, snowboards, ski accessories, camping and hiking gear, outerwear, footwear, sportswear, boots and more from leading brands such as North Face, Patagonia, Sorel, Merrell, Atomic, Solomon, Bogner and Kjus. Even the store fixtures, furniture and equipment must be sold.

The retirement sale will last through July 4. Store credits and gift cards will be honored through June 17.

And if that's not enough, there will also be prizes. Go to their Facebook page HERE for a formal invitation and details. The owners advise visiting their contest desk for details and to see the prizes on display.

The sale, say the owners on their Facebook page, is their way of thanking customers for your business and friendship.

Outdoor Traders is at 55 Arch St., (203)-862-9696, www.outdoortraders.com/.
