NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s mayor and other city leaders are scheduled to meet with business owners, innovators and entrepreneurs Thursday during a “Coffee & Conversation” event at City Hall.

Mayor Harry Rilling and Economic Development Director Elizabeth Stocker will host the free event in City Hall’s Community Room, 125 East Ave., from 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, according to a statement from the city. All are invited to attend.

According to organizers, the event is to focus on connecting people with locally available resources “that can help to address the challenges small businesses face today,” including financing and launching a new business, expanding an existing business, training new employees and securing energy upgrades.

Scheduled to join Rilling and Stocker are representatives from several business organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, CT Next, Connecticut Innovations, the Community Economic Development Fund, the Connecticut Department of Labor, Connecticut Green Bank, SCORE, the Norwalk Public Library, the Greater Norwalk Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and others.

Anyone with questions or who would like to RSVP should call 203-854-7948.
