NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk resident was named the 2013 Dunkin’ Donuts Philanthropist of the Year during the eighth annual Dunkin’ Brands Franchise & Enterprise Awards ceremony at the Seaport Boston Hotel.
Shaun Cain of Cain Management runs 29 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants.
“Shaun is committed to each of the communities where he does business,” said Paul Twohig, president of Dunkin’ Donuts U.S. & Canada. “He and his employees regularly raise funds for local nonprofit organizations, and they have been especially supportive of organizations that are working to rebuild Queens in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Sandy. We congratulate Shaun and his team on this prestigious award.”
Dunkin’ Brands is the parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. The Philanthropist of the Year Award is one of the company’s highest distinctions, according to a press release.
“Winning the Dunkin’ Donuts Philanthropist of the Year Award is an amazing honor,” said Cain. “I’m fortunate to have team members who are involved in making our business and communities better every day. The hard work and contributions of my crew members earned us this award.”
