The Four Points hotel will be converted into a 129-guest-room, four-floor hotel property designed to the specifications of InterContinental’s latest hotel brand, EVEN Hotels. It will to offer a consistent holistic wellness experience, a press release from the hotel chain said.

InterContinental purchased the Four Points property last month, the Hartford Courant reported. A press release from the company said the hotel renovation is expected to be completed early next year.

The hotel will feature flexible public workspaces, dining and social areas, natural outdoor spaces, in-room fitness elements, a state-of-the-art and three-zone gym and flex space for small group fitness classes, the release said.

The hotel is expected to be competitively priced with the Courtyard by Marriott and the Hilton Garden Inn, according to The Courant. Room rates have not yet been released.

The hotel’s location was chosen for its proximity to the New York metropolitan area, Washington D.C. and the headquarters of numerous international businesses, InterContinental said. The location is also well-suited to meet the demands of the large population of wellness-minded people who are living in and traveling to those areas, the release said.

“The Norwalk EVEN hotel is strategically positioned in an area of significant business development and as one of the first properties to premier the new brand, will serve as a prototype to showcase the new brand and conversion process,” according to the release.

The EVEN Hotels brand, launched in 2012, promotes wellness while traveling. The brand offers guests a variety of options to help them eat well, rest easy, keep active and accomplish more – supported by in-hotel and mobile technologies and a unique team member education and certification program, the release said.
