Norwalk Attorney From Stamford Firm Joins Cultural Alliance Board

NORWALK, Conn. – Bringing his desire to support the contribution arts and culture make to Fairfield County communities, Peter Bilfield, of Norwalk has joined the board of directors of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County.

Bilfield, a partner with the law firm of Shipman & Goodwin in Stamford, is a longtime resident of Fairfield County.

The alliance's board president, Cindy Vaccaro, said: "Peter is a welcome addition to our board; he brings great enthusiasm for our mission and goals, as well as his professional expertise and networks." 

Bilfield attended Cornell University and is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was the notes and comments editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. 

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with more than 450 members. It is comprised of nonprofit arts and culture organizations - inclusive of libraries and municipalities - plus creative businesses and individual artists.

The mission of the organization is to support its membership and the cultural sector by providing promotion, services and advocacy, which it carries out in myriad ways. It is one of the state Office of the Arts' "Designated Regional Service Organizations," which are directed to develop, convene and sustain the arts industry, develop cross-sector relationships and provide support for specific state Office of the Arts' programs and services.
