Mediterraneo of Norwalk raised funds through a promotional campaign they created called “Lunch for a Cause.” “We are thankful to Mediterraneo for helping us to serve the community and ensure that students in Norwalk are healthy enough to learn,” said Anthony DiLauro, Executive Director of the Human Services Council.

“Lunch for a Cause” was pioneered to help Z Hospitality give back to the community. The Z hospitality Group supports select causes that promote health and wellness.

The Appleby Health Centers provide school-based health services in some of Norwalk’s public schools. In addition to providing care on-site, SBHC’s educate children and their families about healthy eating habits, the importance of wellness and the impact it has on their life.

“Healthy kids make better learners and healthy eating leads to a long life,” said Kimberly Killoy, the Development and Communications Director of the HSC. To learn more about the Human Services Council visit hscct.org.
