The interns hail from 11 states and 15 colleges and universities throughout the United States.
“This was a terrific opportunity for all of us to get together and to give back to the community we live and work in. We have heard such good things about STAR and the work they do (for people with intellectual disabilities). We are so glad to support an organization such as STAR, the families they serve and the community,” said Erin O'Connell, project leader and risk management associate for GE.
“We are so pleased to have GE interns supporting us with their volunteer service. The impactful results of their hard work and planning is heartwarming and means so much to our families. STAR is truly thankful to GE for their corporate support and we recognize their generous efforts on behalf of STAR," said Katie Banzhaf, executive director of STAR.
