Keller’s new role, based in Norwalk, oversees private banking for First Niagara’s Private Client Services (PCS) department.

“Providing tailored advice and products to our affluent clients to meet their credit and depository services is the focus of our Private Banking group,” said Scott Fisher, First Niagara’s managing director of retail channels, in a press release.

“Peter Keller’s extensive experience in serving this segment of our customer base and the markets that we serve make him an ideal choice to lead this important channel for First Niagara.”

Keller will work with high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations in four states.

He has worked for First Niagara since 2011, and has 35 years of experience in the banking industry.

The last 15 years, Keller has focused on serving high-net-worth individuals and families.

In the past, Keller has worked as an executive at Citibank and the Bank of New Canaan.

He earned an MBA in finance from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree from Lake Forest College in Illinois.
