Bogey’s Grille & Tap Room operated for 17 years in Westport until Hurricane Irene flooded the popular restaurant. It recently moved to a new location in Norwalk at 2 Wilton Ave. at the former site of the Ash Creek Saloon. The ribbon cutting included Mayor Harry Rilling and restaurant owners John and Jim Stablein and Kevin Rusch. The Greater Norwalk Hispanic Chamber of Commerce held the membership drive and speed networking event.

The restaurant has an All Day New American menu with soups, sandwiches, salads, steaks, seafood and pasta offerings. The interior has an early American, Scottish and Irish golf motif in the dining room and vintage photographs of pub storefronts in the Tap Room. An oval bar adorns the center of the room and there are tables in sunny nooks around the perimeter.

“We really enjoyed the collaboration with John, Jim and Kevin for our second networking event,” said Mariella Castagent, president of the GNHCC. “It gave us an opportunity to bring our membership together to celebrate the relocation of Bogey’s Grille and welcome them to the Norwalk community. We want to thank Mayor Rilling and his wife Lucia for celebrating with us.”

Since moving to the new location, Bogey’s has been popular not only in the restaurant, but with corporate catering and delivery as well.

“It’s like having two businesses under one roof and we are so happy to be here,” Stablein said.
