Antonio Perillo, executive chef and co-owner along with his wife Julia Perillo, said he bases his restaurant's offerings on the seafood-influenced diet of his Naples home.
"We make a lot of southern Italian dishes, a lot of seafood, but we do from all over Italy, and northern Italy," he said as he took a break from making pasta in the kitchen of the restaurant in Redding.
Perillo has more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant business, including his work as an executive chef at La Fontana Italian restaurant in Katonah, N.Y., for the last 23 years.
Julia Perillo was born in Sorrento, Italy, and has been involved with her family's restaurant, Bella Italia, in Danbury for four decades.
The couple's son, Paulo is the restaurant manager at Aranci 67. He said the new restaurant offers both a quieter area for dining in one room while those who want a more boisterous atmosphere can dine in the bar area. The same dishes are served on both sides of the restaurant located at 7 Main St. in Georgetown, he said.
The restaurant opened in April and was recently welcomed to the area by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce at its grand opening.
